To get admission in our dream universities, we all need to take an entrance exam in different universities. But the seats are limited due to number of students. Therefore admission  turns into a battle zone of minds.

 In our education system, when a student completes his or her H.S.C examination they need to attend entrance exam of different universities. They get 2-3 months to take preparations .At first , they do great in daily exams and weekly exams. But as the time goes by , it gets harder. They start to get depress over their process. They in dilemma, whether they should continue or not. Some starts to take preparation for foreign universities and some other starts to take preparation for private universities. In public universities of Bangladesh, students need certain numbers or grades to attend the entrance exam. But everyone is not privileged by this system. This leads to a bad consequence in courage and self-confidence of a student. However after the long process some achieve their dreams and some doesn't. In this case, some take suicidal attempts , some disconnect themselves from family and friends which leads nothing but misery and pain. The people of society add more grief by pointing out their defeat ." A student in south Mugda in Dhaka allegedly committed suicide by jumping off a rooftop after failing to pass the admission test to a medical college. The deceased was identified as Tanima Rahman Neha, 20. The incident took place around 7:30pm on Tuesday."(Dhaka Tribune, 2021)

In our society , people do not a take minute to judge others by their fault. Undergraduate students work hard to get their dream universities . But the failure of a student hides the truth of perseverance. People also separate students into two groups according to their respective universities.  One is publican and other is privatian.  Publican students get more attention and respect than privatian. But private universities provide more facilities than public universities. They provide students with organised note, consultation of teachers and opportunities in job sector. But society represent them as losers. But nowadays, private universities beating other public universities in global position. “Private universities in Bangladesh have already fostered a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation. Some of these institutions have established incubation centres and research hubs to encourage students and faculty members to pursue ground-breaking research projects and turn their ideas into viable businesses. To further promote industry-academia collaboration, private universities can work closely with various industries and form partnerships that align curricula with the needs of the job market. Concrete examples of successful collaborations can include innovative start-ups, industry partnerships, or research breakthroughs with direct commercial applications.”(Dhaka Tribune,2023) So students don’t have to worry even they fail to get a seat in public.

 

We need to remove this ill thoughts about universities and admission phase. Elders and experienced one’s must help them throughout the phase.
