The Cruelness of Admission War

“The Cruelness of Admission War” To get admission in our dream universities, we all need to take an entrance exam in different universities. But the seats are limited due to number of students. Therefore admission   turns into a battle zone of minds.   In our education system, when a student completes his or her H.S.C examination they need to attend entrance exam of different universities. They get 2-3 months to take preparations .At first , they do great in daily exams and weekly exams. But as the time goes by , it gets harder. They start to get depress over their process. They in dilemma, whether they should continue or not. Some starts to take preparation for foreign universities and some other starts to take preparation for private universities. In public universities of Bangladesh, students need certain numbers or grades to attend the entrance exam. But everyone is not privileged by this system. This leads to a bad consequence in courage and self-confidence of ...

Unleashing Bangladesh's Potential: Embracing the 4th Industrial Revolution

In the wake of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Bangladesh stands on the brink of a transformative journey into a future defined by technological advancements. While obstacles in adaptation, fear of change and lack of expertise persist, Bangladesh's potential lies in its youth, widespread accessibility of mobile phones and internet, and the increasing interest in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This is my take on the concepts of the 4th Industrial Revolution and the obstacles faced by Bangladesh in this journey. During the First Industrial Revolution, production was mechanised using steam and water power. The Second employed electricity to mass produce goods. To automate production, the Third utilised electronics and computer technologies. The Fourth Industrial Revolution is now building upon the Third, the digital revolution that has been taking place since the mid-twentieth century. It is distinguished by a merge of technologies that blurs the distinctions betw...

The Psychology Of Procrastination: Why It isn’t always a bad thing!

How many times have we faced problems with deadlines? All our lives right! Many people in this era commonly express this sentiment. Whether an academic assignment or a corporate one; time management always betrays us. Even though every time we'll promise never to procrastinate ever again but will still fall into that rabbit hole again and again. Needless to say, the psychology behind this universal and relatable habit is quite complex and intriguing, to put it mildly. Although often viewed as a detrimental habit, procrastination may not always have negative consequences, depending on the situation. First, We have to establish the fact that all procrastinators are not lazy. Certain activities are just too boring and tiring to do ...

The Evolution of Art

Image
Art has evolved a lot over time across the globe. At present, we can see that art has become very common to be done and consumed in digital form. If we look at the history, we can clearly see that art has come a long way.  'Art' is a term defined as the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. There are various branches of art. These branches have evolved with time as well. There are many ancient forms of art that do not exist today. The remainings gives us a insight of those art forms which helps us to acknowledge how much art has evolved. 'Petroglyphs' is a term used for rock carvings made by pecking directly on the rock surface using a stone chisel and a hammerstone during ancient times. It is a form of art that humans once used to express their thoughts. Aside from this, there is cave art that existed...

Embracing an Art of Discipline

Embracing the Art of Discipline I b elieve that discipline is more than just a word; it is a way of life that lays the foundation for personal growth and character development. My friend and I often embark on daily conversations that revolve around the essence of discipline, and we have come to realize that it goes beyond a mere set of rules. Instead, discipline is like a compass that guides us towards humility, honesty, faithfulness, and a life of purpose. It is an art that requires dedication, persistence, mindfulness, and good conduct which obviously means that when a character is lost everything is lost. I was born into a family that is dedicated to God. At the age of ten, while I was in grade five, I began acting improperly, which irritated my parents. My nearby friends, some of whom were my age and others who were older than me, were responsible for my altering attitude. I started coming home late from school, walking outside without permission, and saying nasty things that I o...

Breaking Free: My Journey from Social Anxiety to Empowered Living

Image
Being an only child can be a remarkable and enriching experience, filled with love and individual attention. However, this unique upbringing can also present its own set of challenges, including social anxiety. Although I have 2 little sisters, but I spent 12 years of my life being the only child of my parents. In spite of, my parents loved me a lot and did their best to keep me happy but most of the time I used to feel lonely and wanted some friends in my life . Growing up lonely, I faced difficulties with communicating with others. Whenever someone asked me anything either I would be completely silent, or I would hide myself. I still remember how fast I started running to hide after listening to a guest coming to our house. My mom thought maybe going to school will help me to overcome my fear of social interaction. So, she admitted me into school at the age of 4. It didn’t help at all. Most of the days I would return to my home crying and complaining about how my classmates bul...

An Unreasonable Argument

For Bangladeshi students, choosing the right university for higher education is a critical decision. Our pursuit of higher education has led us to a significant dilemma for students choosing between public universities and private universities. From my point of view both options have their benefits and lackings. Each of the universities have their merits and demerits. For this reason aspiring students have to analyze all the factors and then decide which university they are going to choose. If we talk about public universities, public universities in Bangladesh are renowned for their marvelous infrastructure, their reputative history, their experienced faculty members etc. Public universities have limited seats, so their is a tough competition going on to secure a seat. I think the most important reason for choosing a public university is they offer courses at a more affordable cost. Hence there are some drawbacks in public universities in Bangladesh like ragging culture, outdated teac...

Climate Change: towards destruction

Image
Climate Change is one of the most alarming problems in the world. Yet, it is one of the most overlooked of all. Every single day, the blue planet is going towards a worse condition and the effects are also evident. Despite harming the environment the least of all, low-developed countries are the ones facing consequences the most. Even when the pollution of all low-developed countries are summed up, it would not be as high as the pollution of developed countries such as the United States of America or China. One of the biggest factors contributing to climate change is air pollution. Air pollution can be of many types. But the major air pollution is from electricity generating power stations run by burning fossil fuels: another resource that is at great risk of being used up. When the fossil fuels are burned, many types of gases are released. Carbon dioxide, often called CO2, is one of them. While CO2 is a type of gas necessary to keep the blue planet warm by a process called Glob...
